Pilots / Aircraft

AirMed currently operates an Agusta 109 E “Power” as the primary helicopter and a Eurocopter Twinstar as the backup helicopter.

Airmed Fixed Wing

As the primary aircraft, Airmed operates a Super King Air 200 twin turbo-prop aircraft capable of transporting two patients, three attendants and two pilots. Airmed also operates a King Air 90 as a backup aircraft capable of transporting a single patient, three attendants and two pilots.

Partnered together, the AirMed Flight Nurse and Paramedic play a crucial role in performing both emergent pre-hospital transports and the most complex of inter-facility critical care transports.

AirMed Pilots

AirMed Pilots are employed by AirMed Inc. AirMed is the only locally owned and operated FAR part 135 within the South Eastern United States. The pilots hold FAA Air Line Transport or Commercial with Instrument pilot certificates. All are highly experienced commercial helicopter pilots and many have military flying backgrounds also.
